ICOE at VietWater Conference 2025: Strengthening International Cooperation for Mekong Delta Sustainability

Enhancing Connectivity and Knowledge Sharing

In late 2025, the Institute of Coastal and Offshore Engineering (ICOE) participated in the VietWater Conference, one of the region's leading events in the water sector. This participation served as a vital opportunity for the Institute to disseminate the project's latest findings while strengthening international partnerships to address current environmental challenges.

Special Session: "Mangrove Living Lab in Vietnam"

In collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam and students from the Multidisciplinary Project (MDP), the research team presented a dedicated session titled "Mangrove Living Lab in Vietnam".


The presentation highlighted significant research achievements, including:

  • Preliminary results from comprehensive coastal monitoring activities.

  • The launch and application of the Digital Living Lab tool for enhanced visual data management.

Strategic Directions and Policy Impact

The event provided a dynamic platform where representatives from the Netherlands Embassy, ICOE experts, and academic delegations discussed potential future research directions and adaptive management strategies for the Mekong Delta.
