Delegation from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Economic Affairs Visited and Held Discussions with the Mekong Delta Living Lab Research Team

On 12 June 2026, the Mekong Delta Living Lab research team participated in a working meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), an agency under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, at the Institute of Coastal and Offshore Engineering (ICOE).

During the meeting, the research team introduced the ongoing activities of the Mekong Delta Living Lab project, including research on mangrove restoration, coastal hydrodynamics, integrated coastal zone management, and climate change adaptation in the Mekong Delta.

Both parties discussed opportunities for future collaboration in coastal engineering, water resources management, Nature-based Solutions, digital transformation, and research supporting the sustainable development of coastal areas. The meeting also provided an opportunity for researchers to exchange scientific findings, strengthen international research networks, and promote future collaboration between Vietnamese and Dutch partners.

The visit marked an important step in strengthening cooperation among researchers, government agencies, and international partners. It is expected to foster innovative research and practical solutions that contribute to the sustainable management of coastal ecosystems and mangrove forests in the Mekong Delta.
