In late June, experts from the Vietnam–Netherlands Living Lab returned to the project’s study areas after more than two years. The team visited mangrove sites in Vinh Chau, Lai Hoa, Vinh Phuoc, Bac Lieu, and Nha Mat to observe mangrove conditions, coastal erosion, restoration efforts, and the role of breakwaters.

The field trip focused on understanding coastal erosion and mangrove degradation, assessing restoration outcomes, and identifying suitable locations for future measurements. The team also discussed potential research directions and opportunities for publications based on the field findings.
